Surprise Writing Update

Aside from Library of Characters, I haven’t talked about my writing very much on Lulu’s Library. I guess that’s about to change.

For the past year or so, I have been—slowly but surely—working at a YA fantasy trilogy, with the working title of The Seven Countries. Currently totaling over 90,000 words, I’ve finished book 1 and am working my way through the first half of book 2.

You can find a few short bits of information about it throughout my blog, and Library of Characters gives some sneak-peeks into two of the protagonists, Aideen and Weylin, the antagonist, Emperor Haldoras, and my favorite side character, Siridean Deh’entor.

And though I plan on doing a post to give a further look into book 1 of The Seven Countries soon, that’s not what this update is for.

*Drum roll begins.*

I’m am in the works of writing and publishing my debut story!

For the past few months I’ve been mulling over a story idea, but always pushing it aside to wait until I was finished with The Seven Countries. That is, until the ever-lovely writer’s block decided to take up residence in my docs.

Then a friend suggested that I should write and publish a short story for fun, and bam, the idea was back—but this time with a twist that would fit perfectly into a small novelette.

So… without further ado…

When the Stars Shine Again

Abandoned and unwanted for as long as she could remember, Wren thought it was impossible to be worthy of love. It was a fairytale for the rich and perfect.
That is… until a strange Man under the guise of a pauper appears and begins an irrevocable change in Ailnirha.
Little does she know how much the Man will transform her life.

When the Stars Shine Again is an allegorical YA fantasy novelette, telling the magnificent story of light vs darkness and how Christ came and died to save the world.

Keep an eye out for future posts with more information and sneak-peaks into the story!
