Cover Reveal Signups!

I cannot believe it’s almost time to reveal the cover for my novella, When the Stars Shine Again. Apparently time flies when I’m focused on a million different projects for it at once. 😂

Most of the information can be found in the form, and the official reveal will happen on November tenth.

Signups close November first, so don’t wait!

ABOUT THE BOOK

At the dawn of time, there was said to be nothing but darkness.

The same could be told of Ailnirha centuries later, now shrouded by the same Black Mist that has haunted the Countries since the beginning of time.

One of many cursed by the Mist, Wren has always been an outcast. Scorned. Abandoned. Unwanted. But when she encounters a strange Man, who acts more like a lord than the pauper He appears, her life is forever changed.

And she isn’t the only one altered by the Man. Soon all of Ailnirha is feeling His touch, and light begins to break into the darkest of shadows.

But the Mist doesn’t give up its hold on the elves that easily.

How can one hold out hope when darkness threatens to overtake them all?

When the Stars Shine Again is a YA fantasy allegory, and an unintentional prequel to my WIP trilogy, Light out of Darkness.

At 13,000 words and counting, I’ve finally reached the fun scenes. They’re even more heart-wrenching than how I plotted them, and I fully blame it on the characters who have all taken on a mind of their own.

And soon, the beautiful cover will join these beautiful scenes and force me to free them from the safety of my docs.

And… just for fun… a sneak peek at the opening scene:

AT THE DAWN OF TIME, there was said to be nothing but darkness.

A void, empty and desolate. Darker than the deepest midnight and colder than the iciest breath.

Nothing.

And yet… everything. For in the heaviest darkness, the brightest light shone.

It was said that the light was spoken into being by a single word, filling the darkness, creating something out of nothing, warmth out of cold, life out of death. It was said to be a light of creation, of  laughter, of imagination and form and perfection.

Of love.

But that’s it. It was only said. The light was only rumored to have existed. It was a legend. A fairytale to tell young children by the warm fire in the Story Guild.

But the darkness… the darkness was real. True. Something to warn a child about under the cover of night, shivering beneath cold quilts in dread.

The darkness was to be feared.
