Small Sacrifices first appeared as a 5,000-word short story in the Seize the Love Anthology published by CDXC Aurora Lux Libri Publishing under the title Small Sacrifices, Great Love. Small Sacrifices is approximately 6,500 words longer than the first edition.

Themes: Sacrificial love, making a difference, courage.
