Art Reveal!!

I have been working for quite some time on a secret drawing.

I probably could have finished it much faster, but writing ANW (it’s at 27k now, btw! And my characters are not happy with their current situation…) and working on another secret project has taken up much of my time. XD

But…now the secret drawing is done, and I get to reveal it to the world!

What is this drawing, you ask? Well…let me give you some hints.

…yes, I am doing this cover reveal style, it’s more fun that way. *Innocent face.*

It completes a set of character cards.

It features two of my absolute most favorite characters to write.

The characters are from my debut novella, When the Stars Shine Again.

…if you have read WtSSA, you can probably guess which two characters I am talking about. XD So why bore you with more obvious hints…

Tada!

I can’t count the amount of times this drawing made me go “awwww” as I was working on it.

I also can’t count the amount of references I had to dig through to find a remotely fitting one for Ronan. XD

But seriously. Zandier and Ronan’s relationship is so sweet, and I had so much fun writing it and its many sweet moments…and rough snags…throughout my novella.

(Also…I did mention this drawing was a part of a set of character cards…)

About When the Stars Shine Again

At the dawn of time, there was said to be nothing but darkness.

The same could be told of Ailnirha centuries later, now shrouded by the same Black Mist that has haunted the Countries since the beginning of time.

One of many cursed by the Mist, Wren has always been an outcast. Scorned. Abandoned. Unwanted. But when she encounters a strange Man, who acts more like a lord than the pauper He appears, her life is forever changed.

She isn’t the only one altered by the Man. Soon all of Ailnirha is feeling His touch, and light begins to break into the darkest of shadows.

But the Mist doesn’t give up its hold on the elves that easily.

How can one hold out hope when darkness threatens to overtake them all?

When the Stars Shine Again is an allegorical fantasy about Christ’s death and resurrection, from the POV of Mary Magdalene. It starts out a broken tale about broken people…but it doesn’t end that way.

An emotional story that will more than likely make you shed a few tears, it doesn’t leave you in the darkness. It leaves you with hope.
